About SaRS
The Safety and Reliability Society (SaRS) is the professional body for safety, reliability and risk management practitioners. We provide our members with cross-industry learning, CPD and networking opportunities. SaRS is a Licensed Member of the Engineering Council providing registration for Chartered Engineers and Incorporated Engineers. We are internationally recognised as the leading body for domain expertise through our branch technical seminars, journal, knowledge base, webinars and membership.
We encourage the application of industry standard safety and reliability techniques by individuals, organisations and governments. We provide an international forum for experts to exchange knowledge, information and best practice. We work to educate the next generation through professional development.
SaRS was founded in 1980 in the UK and now has members internationally who may use the post-nominals MSaRS and FSaRS. We accept membership applications from candidates from all relevant experience and educational
backgrounds.
Membership is open to everyone from students to experienced engineers. Members receive our quarterly peer reviewed journal, regular newsletter and discounted access to conferences and events. Our regional branches run CPD events and provide expert-led networking opportunities. Our webinar programme is available in full to our members in the Members’ Area of our website.
Our affiliate organisations are leaders in their fields, and demonstrate their commitment to safety and reliability best practice by supporting our work and partnering with us to provide their employees with first-class professional development opportunities.
