Phil Lang
Phil Lang joined SaRS Council in June 2023. We asked Phil about his background and he told us:
‘I first started my journey into Engineering at 18 where I joined Transco as an Operative training up to a Mains layer Craftsman, this is where I learned and developed my passion for Safety as being on the tools you see and experience so many bad practices first-hand.
I then moved on to United Utilities where I worked as a Project Engineer, Mitigation Technician, Asset Integration Engineer, Asset Supportability Engineer and my current role Principal Integration Engineer. My current role has enabled me to learn about the principles of Reliability using tools like T-RAM, CIL, Spares Strategies, FMECA, RCM analysis to name a few, whilst leading a team of Engineers in delivering these principles.
In my personal life I am a husband and a father to one daughter who takes up most of my spare time, however, I do enjoy walking my dog, sports, films and I train in Taekwondo.’
