The webinar will present the fundamentals of performing a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Verification which is a key requirement specified in IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.

This requirement ensures that the Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) is designed to meet the SIL target identified in the SIL Determination study in order to achieve the required level of risk reduction.

The presentation will cover the fundamentals of SIL Verification, random hardware failures assessment and the common pitfalls and issues.

A simple example of a SIL Verification assessment will be presented.
