This event was re-scheduled from the 9th July. If you registered for the previous event that was postponed you will have been sent a new invitation to re-register.

The European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 is pivotal in contemporary rail transportation, ensuring safety, efficiency, and interoperability across rail networks. The reliability and maintainability of ETCS Level 2 emerge as critical factors for its successful operation. In this webinar, attendees will gain invaluable insights into the maintainability demonstration process of an ETCS Level 2 train control system, emphasising the assessment of its ability to be handed over to the operator and efficiently maintained and sustained over time.

The case study being used underscores the significance of integrating human factors considerations to ensure the usability, safety, robustness of the system and, consequently, the efficiency and dependability of rail networks.

While the webinar centres on a train control system, attendees, including those from outside the rail industry, will gain valuable insights into ensuring system reliability and maintainability, with a special emphasis on integrating human factors considerations. By examining a real-world case study and its methodologies, participants can glean practical maintainability verification and validation strategies to enhance maintenance practices and the system handover process.

This webinar is applicable to safety engineers, reliability engineers, systems engineers, railway infrastructure operators, train operators, railway maintainers, signalling engineers, signalling system suppliers, and a broad range of professional involved in the specification, design, build, integration, operation and maintenance of railway systems.
