Why joining SaRS?
I am a safety and risk consultant with over ten years of working experience predominately in the railway, oil & gas and processing industries. It was an obvious choice for me to join SaRS as it is a well-recognised professional body in my field. I became a member of SaRS in 2016. Since then, I found SaRS has been offering me lots of great opportunities in professional networking and continuing professional development (CPD).
When I relocated from Hong Kong to London in late 2017, I had the chance to serve in the London Branch Committee as the Branch Coordinator. I have been joining most of the London Branch events and enjoying the chances to connect with our growing local professional community. The social sessions helped me expand my professional network in the UK very swiftly and get to know practitioners from all backgrounds and sectors.
SaRS is, undoubtedly, a very good choice for safety, reliability, and risk management practitioners. It organises a wide range of events for CPD such as technical lectures, panel discussions, webinars, tours and journal. Through these activities, I have learnt various technical topics or experience in different sectors. These learning opportunities provide diverse insights for me to suggest the best solution for my clients.
SaRS is an internationally recognised leading body in safety and reliability, and a Licensed Member of the Engineering Council. I am very proud to be a member of SaRS and highly recommend joining SaRS if you are a professional in the field.
