Andrew Buchan appointed Chair of the Safety and Reliability Society (SaRS)

The Annual General meeting of the Safety and Reliability Society (SaRS was held on the 23rd November 2021 and Andrew Buchan was appointed Chair of the Society.
Andy, who works for Sellafield Ltd at the main reprocessing and waste management site in Cumbria and involved in a variety of technical assessment area areas involving safety, risk, security and resilience, thanked Peter Sheppard for his term as Chair. He also introduced his aims for his term, where he looked forward to working with volunteers and organising the Affiliate Organisation Forum.
Louise Whiting (Barberton Ltd) was appointed Chair Elect and Sam Jelley-Shaikh (WSP) joined SaRS Council.
Andy thanked all retiring Council Members for their work during the past year and encouraged anyone wishing to volunteer on SaRS Council or committees to contact the SaRS office.
